22Miles alternatives: a full signage suite, or maps for the screens you have

22Miles sells digital signage, video walls, room booking and wayfinding, and its DX Pro platform runs in the cloud or on-premises. DigiMaps is wayfinding software from DigiSigns, a signage company in New Delhi: one map for kiosks, phones and the signage players you already run, with six routing profiles and right-to-left Arabic.

What 22Miles does well

If you want one system for every screen in the building, 22Miles covers more of it than we do. These points come from 22Miles’ own pages, read on 24 October 2026.

  • One platform, DX Pro, for digital signage, wayfinding, video walls and interactive screens. Room booking is also in its product range.
  • Every licence includes unlimited users, a cloud CMS, scheduling and zone management, QR to mobile and an open API.
  • Over 1,000 ready-to-use templates, with drag-and-drop content updates.
  • Priced by buildings and floors, not square footage.
  • Cloud or on-premises deployment for DX Pro. Its CMS is described as hardware-agnostic, with BrightSign players in a published article.
  • Mapping done for you from labelled floor maps, or AI Map File Creation that turns 2D plans into editable SVG maps.
  • AR features and a multilingual AI chat assistant for visitors.

How a map gets made, and how it changes

The biggest practical difference is what happens between a floor plan and a live screen. Left, what 22Miles’ pages describe. Right, what DigiMaps does.

22Miles, as its pages describe it

  1. Send the plans Send labelled floor maps, and its team handles the mapping.
  2. Or convert with AI AI Map File Creation in DX Pro turns 2D floor plans into editable SVG wayfinding maps.
  3. Edit Rearrange rooms, paths or whole layouts in the Publisher Pro map editor.
  4. Change routes live Open or close routes instantly from the dashboard.

DigiMaps

  1. Bring in the drawings DXF imports directly, DWG through a converter. AI tracing proposes rooms from a PDF or image, and each one waits in a review queue.
  2. Edit and check Edit in Studio with 21 editor tools. Preflight checks block critical map errors before anything is published.
  3. Review and publish Submit for review. An approver publishes now, or schedules it for tonight.
  4. Change things live, and undo Closures and notices reach screens within seconds without republishing. Any release can be rolled back.

Three example projects, and where each lands

Example scenarios, not customers. They show how the same requirement list can point either way.

  1. Example scenario A · not a customer

A university replacing lobby signage, meeting-room panels and its campus map at the same time

    22Miles is the closer fit

22Miles sells all three. DigiMaps doesn’t do room booking, so you would still need a second system.

  2. Example scenario B · not a customer

A hospital that already runs BrightSign players under its own signage CMS, and wants wayfinding without changing it

    DigiMaps fits alongside

The players can show a DigiMaps signage page or directory board, or read its RSS, JSON Feed and iCal feeds. We test each player model on site first.

  3. Example scenario C · not a customer

A government service hall with no internet link, where Arabic comes first

    Ask both, then test

Both state on-premises deployment. Ask 22Miles about air-gapped operation and right-to-left layout. DigiMaps does both today, with offline updates.

Questions to ask 22Miles, us, or any signage vendor selling maps

Questions to ask and what a good answer includes
Ask A good answer includes
Is wayfinding a module of your signage CMS, or can we buy it on its own? A clear answer on licensing, and whether the map runs on players you already own.
Who makes the map, and who edits it after go-live? The file you send, who reviews the result, and which edits your own team can make.
Can a map change be reviewed before it goes live, and undone afterwards? A demo of approval, a scheduled publish and a rollback.
Do step-free routes ever include stairs? A wheelchair route in the demo that never touches a stair.
Show the kiosk in Arabic, right to left. A mirrored layout, Arabic search, and a named person who approves translations.
Can it run with no internet connection at all? Offline updates, and no outbound calls by default.

22Miles or DigiMaps: common questions

Is 22Miles a digital signage company or a wayfinding company?

Both. 22Miles describes itself as a digital signage and wayfinding provider, and its DX Pro platform covers signage, wayfinding, immersive content and space management. DigiMaps is wayfinding software. Our parent company, DigiSigns, makes signage software as a separate product.

Does 22Miles offer on-premises hosting?

Yes. 22Miles says DX Pro supports both cloud and on-premises deployment. DigiMaps also runs on one server on your network, including fully air-gapped sites with offline updates.

Does DigiMaps do room booking or video walls?

No. DigiMaps covers wayfinding, directory boards, signage playlists on idle kiosks, and live notices and emergencies. For meeting-room panels and video walls, a signage suite such as 22Miles covers more.

Can DigiMaps run on the signage players we already have?

Usually, if the player can open a web page or read an RSS feed. We have setup notes for Xibo, BrightSign, Yodeck and ScreenCloud. No third-party player model has been verified by us yet, so we test each one on site before go-live.

How do 22Miles and DigiMaps price?

Neither publishes prices. 22Miles says it prices by buildings and floors, not square footage, with unlimited users. DigiMaps is priced per venue, based on floor area, floors, screens, languages and hosting, and we send a written quote.

Wayfinding for the screens you already run

Send us your screen list and a floor plan. In 30 minutes we will show where DigiMaps fits next to your signage, and say so plainly where it doesn’t.
