Government building wayfinding that sends people to the right counter.
DigiMaps is wayfinding software for civic centres, municipal offices and courts. Visitors find the right service counter, payment desk or self-service machine on a kiosk or their phone, in Arabic or English. It can run on one server inside your network, even with no internet connection, and never stores what visitors type into search.
- 1 Kiosk at the main entrance. You are here.
- 2 Ticket machine. DigiMaps shows where it is; it does not issue tickets.
- 3 Counter 5, Trade licences. Staff areas behind the counters never appear on public screens.
What people ask in a service hall.
Most visitors come once or twice a year, with one errand and a ticket in their hand. These are the questions the information desk answers all morning, and the answers a kiosk can give instead.
- Which counter renews a trade licence? Counters 5 to 8, straight ahead Level G
- Do I need a ticket first? Ticket machine, left of the entrance Level G
- Where do I pay? Payments desk, east side of the hall Level G
- Is there a self-service machine? Three machines beside Payments Level G
- Which floor is Building permits on? Level 1, by lift or stairs Level L1
- Can I get there without stairs? Step-free routes use the lifts
Where would you like to go?
إلى أين تود الذهاب؟
The same home screen in English and in Arabic, right to left. Fictional venue.
The government pack, in Arabic and English from day one.
Pick Government when you create the venue and the Service counters, Queue tickets, Payments and Smart services tiles are already there, with privacy set for a public building.
- Pack wording is complete in English and Arabic, including 37 synonym groups for civic services.
- Typed search and comment text is dropped before storage. Restrooms, prayer rooms and waiting areas are flagged for review.
- Visitor routes never pass through staff corridors. If that is the only way, the kiosk asks the visitor to see a member of staff.
- 99 label rules sort the room labels in your CAD drawings into 18 categories and 36 service types, checked by 125 built-in tests.
- A room type the pack does not recognise stays staff-only until someone decides otherwise.
DigiMaps does not issue queue tickets or take payments. The Queue tickets and Payments tiles take people to your ticket machines and payment desks.
How Arabic and right-to-left wayfinding worksLogs your auditors can read, with nothing personal in them.
Every tap on a kiosk becomes a row in the tender column format shown here. There are no visitor accounts or sign-in, and every visitor gets a new anonymous session. On a government venue, what people type into search is never stored.
- Email addresses, phone numbers and ID-format numbers are scrubbed on the kiosk and on the server, in Latin and Arabic digits.
- Statistics hide any group smaller than five visitors.
- Kept 395 days by default, then purged. The period can be set per venue.
- Exports in CSV, JSON or JSONL, with saved export profiles and a monthly report by email.

On your own network, including sites with no internet at all.
Many public bodies cannot send visitor data off site, and some buildings have no internet connection. DigiMaps Server runs the whole platform on one machine on your network, and the kiosks talk only to it.

DigiMaps Server
- Runs on
- Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04. A Windows 11 / Server 2025 installer exists but has not yet been run on a real Windows host, so we would prove it on yours first.
- Sizing
- Small, medium and large profiles. The small profile is 16 GB of memory and 4 cores.
- Internet
- None needed. No outbound calls by default, and updates arrive as an offline bundle.
- Upgrades
- Each upgrade passes a health check, and rolls back automatically if it fails.
- Backups
- Encrypted every night, kept on a retention schedule, copied to a second location, with a verified restore.
- AI
- Off by default. DXF floor plans import without it.
- Data
- Choose on-premises to keep every byte on your own server, or a cloud region agreed in your contract.
Documents for your tender file.
What we can put in front of your procurement, legal and information-security teams, and on what terms. We do not hold security certifications yet, and we say so in writing.
| No. | Document | What it covers | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | UAE control mapping | A UAE PDPL / Dubai ISR / Universal Design Code control mapping is available for your legal and information-security review. It also covers the UAE ICT Health Law. It is a mapping, not an attestation. | On request |
| 02 | Security questionnaire | Answers to your security questionnaire. | Under NDA |
| 03 | Threat model | Abuse cases and the controls built against them. | Under NDA |
| 04 | Penetration-test scope | The scope an independent tester would work to. It is a scope, not a test report. | Under NDA |
| 05 | Interaction log format | The tender column format shown above, with export profiles. | On request |
| 06 | Manuals and training | Operator and administrator manuals, plus a training programme with a competency checklist your staff can sign off. | On request |

Example scenario, not a customer
A Monday at a municipal service centre.
A fictional two-floor centre with three kiosks and a directory board, running on its own server. The duty log for one day.
| Time | Who | What they do | What the screens do |
|---|---|---|---|
| 07:25 | Operations supervisor | Schedules a notice for 07:30 to 08:00 in Arabic and English: counters open at 07:30, take a ticket first. | A banner on every kiosk, above the idle screen. |
| 08:05 | Operations supervisor | Counter 5’s system is down. Posts “A service moved”: trade licences go to Counter 8 for the day. | Visitors who search for Counter 5 are sent to Counter 8. No map republish. |
| 09:20 | Visitor, entrance kiosk | A man in a wheelchair switches to Arabic, taps Find a service, then Building permits, and turns on Step-free. | The route to Level 1 uses the lift, never the stairs, and the steps read right to left. |
| 10:00 | Workspace admin | Fire drill. Starts the Evacuate the building template on every screen. | Arabic and English side by side. “Show me the way out” routes to the nearest exit on the approved exit data. Wardens run the drill. |
| 10:14 | Workspace admin | Ends the emergency. | Every screen returns to normal. Start and end are both in the audit log. |
| Month end | Records officer | Exports the month’s interactions as a CSV in the tender column format. | The rows carry no personal data, and the text of searches was never stored. |
Emergency mode supplements, and never replaces, the building’s alarms, signs, wardens and approved procedures.
Questions public-sector buyers ask us
Can DigiMaps run without an internet connection?
Yes. DigiMaps Server runs the whole platform on one machine on your network, with no outbound calls by default and updates delivered offline. AI features are off by default on-premises, and kiosks keep working from their cached map if the network drops.
Is DigiMaps certified against government data protection rules?
DigiMaps holds no compliance certification today, and we will not imply otherwise. A UAE PDPL / Dubai ISR / Universal Design Code control mapping is available for your legal and information-security review. Security questionnaire, threat model and penetration-test scope are available under NDA. Ask about our current compliance status.
Does it connect to our queue management or payment system?
No connector ships today. The Queue tickets and Payments tiles send people to your ticket machines and payment desks. Showing live ticket numbers or counter status on the kiosk would be integration work that we scope with you, not a standard feature.
What does a kiosk record about visitors?
Taps, not people. There are no visitor accounts and no personal-data forms, every visitor gets a new anonymous session, and on a government venue the text typed into search is dropped before storage. Email addresses, phone numbers and ID-format numbers are scrubbed on the kiosk and on the server.
Which languages can the kiosk use?
Arabic and English are complete, with full right-to-left layout and Arabic search that matches different spellings of the same word. You can add up to 24 languages per venue for your own content, and on-screen keyboards cover scripts including Urdu, Persian and Devanagari. Your team approves every translation before it goes live.
How do we buy DigiMaps through a tender?
You can buy from us directly or through a systems integrator or signage partner on your approved list. We support the bid with the documents on this page and a written pilot scope. Prices are quoted per venue, so talk to us for a pilot quote.
Put the right counter on every screen.
Book a 30-minute walkthrough. Bring your floor plans, your list of counters and the tender requirements you are working to. We will show the government pack in Arabic and English and talk through an on-premises pilot.
