DigiMaps is built by DigiSigns, a digital signage company.

DigiSigns is a New Delhi company, operated by Digiboard Tech Private Limited. Its cloud software lets businesses run what plays on their TVs, LED walls and kiosks. DigiMaps is its indoor wayfinding product: one map that runs on kiosks, visitors’ phones, signage players and websites.

We put messages on screens. Then visitors asked the screens for directions.

A signage screen in a lobby gets one question more than any other, and a slideshow cannot answer it. That is where DigiMaps came from.

  1. Screens

DigiSigns software lets a business run what plays on its TVs, LED walls, menu boards and kiosks from one dashboard.

  2. Questions

In a mall, hospital or campus lobby, the screen people stop at is the directory. What they ask it most often is where something is.

  3. Answers

DigiMaps turns that screen into a 3D map with step-free routes, and the route can follow the visitor to their phone.

Four products. Each gives a screen one more job.

Play the content, show the menu, take the order, give directions. DigiMaps is the fourth on DigiSigns’ list, and the one this site is about.

DigiSigns lists DigiMaps as its fourth product, after its signage software, DigiMenu and DigiEats. Note the two Studios: DigiSigns Studio designs signage layouts, and DigiMaps Studio is where you draw and publish the map.

A signage company’s habits, built into the kiosk.

When nobody is using a DigiMaps kiosk, it does not sit on a menu screen. It plays your scheduled signage and records what played.

  1. Idle kiosks play your playlist

Pictures, video, text, web pages and HTML5 packages, scheduled by daypart from morning to overnight. Proof of play records plays, touches, touch rate and time on screen.

  2. Feeds for the players you already run

The signage page and directory board are web pages, so a player that can open a URL can show them. Media RSS, JSON Feed 1.1 and iCalendar feeds carry notices and events. No player model is verified yet, so we test yours on site.

  3. One map on every screen

Kiosks, visitors’ phones, signage players and your website all read the same published release, so the directory board and the kiosk beside it show the same map.

DigiMaps is designed and built by the DigiSigns team in New Delhi.

How we decide what goes on this site.

DigiSigns set out to make good signage simple and affordable for any business. We want the same for wayfinding: getting around a building should be simple and step-free for every visitor, and a venue of any size should be able to afford it.

  1. We publish only what we can show you

Every limit and count we quote for the product comes from its code, manuals or test results. Numbers in drawings are labelled as examples.

  2. We name customers only with their permission

We have none to name yet, so there are no logos, quotes or case studies here. If you want to be one of our first pilot sites, tell us.

  3. We tell you what indoor positioning can and cannot do

Kiosks give every route a fixed starting point today. A moving blue dot on phones needs a site survey and, on iPhone, a native app. We say that before you buy.

Who makes DigiMaps?

DigiMaps is made by DigiSigns, a digital signage company headquartered in New Delhi, India. DigiSigns is operated by Digiboard Tech Private Limited. The same company makes DigiSigns signage software, DigiMenu menu boards and DigiEats ordering kiosks.

Who founded DigiSigns?

The cofounders of DigiSigns are Abhiroop Srivastava, the CEO, and Danish Quasim, the CTO. DigiMaps is built by the DigiSigns team in New Delhi.

Where is DigiSigns based?

At Stirring Minds, 2-A/3, Kundan Mansion, Asaf Ali Road, New Delhi 110002, India. We have no office outside New Delhi. Buyers in the Middle East are served from New Delhi, and DigiSigns runs an Arabic website for them.

Is DigiMaps related to Digimap or to DigiSign e-signature companies?

No. DigiMaps, one word with a capital M, is indoor wayfinding software from DigiSigns in New Delhi. It has no connection with EDINA’s Digimap service for UK universities, or with the e-signature products sold under the DigiSign name.

How does DigiMaps relate to DigiSigns’ signage software?

They are separate products from the same company. DigiSigns signage software runs content on screens. DigiMaps adds a routable indoor map, kiosk wayfinding and live closures and notices, and keeps signage habits: idle kiosks play a scheduled playlist with proof of play, and its feeds can drive third-party signage players.

Why are there no customer logos on this site?

Because we have none to show yet. We name customers only with their permission, and we do not present composite or anonymised stories as real deployments. If you would like to be one of our first pilot sites, tell us about your building.
