Mall wayfinding and a directory that keeps up with your tenants.
DigiMaps is mall wayfinding software for directory kiosks, shoppers’ phones and your signage screens. Your operations team keeps stores, units and opening hours current in Studio. Shoppers search in English or Arabic, carry the route to their phone with one scan, and idle kiosks play your scheduled promotions.

You are here · Ground, main entrance
A store moves on Thursday. Every kiosk has it right by Friday.
Units split, brands relocate and food courts get refitted. Your operations team makes the change in the Stores list in Studio, someone approves it, and every kiosk, phone and directory board shows the same answer. No ticket to a vendor, no visit to each screen.
- Edit the Stores list. Names in every language sit side by side. An Arabic name stays marked Draft until someone approves it.
- Mark the old unit as moved. Shoppers who search for it are sent to the new unit within seconds, before any new map is published.
- Submit for review. A content editor can publish names and opening hours. Changing the map itself, such as splitting a unit, needs an admin.
- Schedule it for tonight. Kiosks load the new release when they are idle, so nobody’s route changes halfway. One click rolls it back.
Where would you like to go?
The mall pack’s kiosk home screen. Wayvale Mall is fictional; the event is an example.
Choose Mall, and the kiosk already knows Shop, Dine and Services.
Choose Mall when you create the venue and this is your starting point. Any of it can be changed for your mall.
On the kiosk
- Home tiles
- Shop, Dine, Entertainment, Services, Restrooms and Parking. A tile only appears when a public place sits behind it.
- Search
- 47 synonym groups written for malls, complete in English and Arabic. One-letter typos in longer words, and unit numbers typed without separators, still match.
- Place cards
- Logo, today’s hours with Open or Closed in the mall’s time zone, walking time, Take me there and Send to phone.
- Kiosk features
- What’s on for events. Car parks drawn on your plan appear under the Parking tile.
- Theme
- The retail-vibrant preset, under your own colours, fonts and logo. Storefronts and tenant logos show on the 3D map.
In Studio
- Categories
- 19 categories and 42 service types.
- Label rules
- 108 rules that sort the unit labels in your CAD drawings into those categories.
- Tests
- 136 built-in classification tests ship with the pack.
- Wording
- The occupants page is called Stores, not Departments.
- Starting point
- Import your plans, or begin from the mall starter template.
From the main entrance to the food court, then onto a phone.
A shopper taps Dine, then Food court. The kiosk draws the route in 3D and numbers the steps, with the escalator as one step. One scan moves the route to their phone with the same destination, language and step-free choice.
- 1 Kiosk at the main entrance. The route starts here.
- 2 Escalators to Level 2. Step-free routes take the lifts instead.
- 3 Food court, Level 2.

The link carries the destination, this kiosk as the start, the language and the step-free choice. No app, no sign-up, nothing personal.
When nobody is touching it, the kiosk is a signage screen.
The attract screen plays your scheduled playlist, with the call to action in every venue language. Mall marketing plans slides by daypart and by kiosk zone, and gets proof of play for each one. Live notices and emergencies always sit on top of the playlist.
Events, with a way to get there
Add an event with a picture, a place and repeat dates. It shows under What’s on with a Take me there button, and in an iCalendar feed that your website or a signage player can read.
The signage players you already run
A player with a modern Chromium-based browser can open the DigiMaps signage page or directory board, or read the RSS, JSON Feed and iCalendar feeds. Our setup notes cover Xibo, BrightSign, Yodeck and ScreenCloud, and we test each player model on site before go-live.
Arabic and English side by side, across every mall you run.
Bilingual from the first day
Every name, notice and slide is written in both languages, next to each other. Arabic gets true right-to-left layout, a bundled Arabic map font and an Arabic on-screen keyboard, and search finds Arabic names from Latin letters.

A portfolio in one Studio
One sign-in holds every mall you manage. A centre manager can edit their own mall and only view the others, and the Fleet page puts offline kiosks from all your malls at the top of the list.
Example scenario, not a customer
Thursday evening to Friday lunchtime at Wayvale Mall.
A fictional three-level mall with 24 kiosks. One store moves, an escalator is serviced and marketing changes a slide.
| When | Who | What they do | What shoppers see |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thu 18:00 | Leasing team · Studio | Moves Sneakers from G-06 to L1-14 in the Stores list, with its new opening hours, and submits the change for review. | Nothing changes yet. Screens keep showing the published release. |
| Thu 19:30 | Centre manager · Studio | Approves the change and schedules the release for 23:00. | Still the published release. |
| Thu 23:00 | Studio | Publishes on schedule, after re-checking the publisher’s rights. | Kiosks load the release when idle. A search for “sneakers” now leads to Level 1. |
| Fri 10:00 | Operations · Live | Closes the escalators to Level 2 for maintenance and posts a notice from the Planned maintenance template, in English and Arabic. | Within seconds, routes to the food court use the lifts. The notice shows in both languages. |
| Fri 12:00 | Operations · Live | Ends the closure. | Routes go back to the escalators. |
| Fri 12:30 | Marketing · Studio | Adds a weekend workshop slide to the Afternoons playlist for the atrium kiosks. | Idle atrium kiosks play it, and proof of play starts counting. |
Questions mall teams ask us
How fast does a tenant change reach the kiosks?
A closure, a moved store or a notice is live content: it reaches every screen within seconds, with no new map to publish. Changes to names, opening hours and logos go out as a release that you publish straight away or schedule, and kiosks load it the next time they are idle.
Can idle kiosks show promotions?
Yes. When nobody is using a kiosk it plays your signage playlist: pictures, video, text, web pages or HTML5 packages, from 3 seconds to 10 minutes each, scheduled by daypart and by zone. Each slide gets proof of play: plays, touches, touch rate and time on screen.
Does it work in Arabic?
Yes. Names, notices and slides are written in English and Arabic side by side, with full right-to-left layout, a bundled Arabic map font and an Arabic on-screen keyboard. Search matches Arabic spelling variants and finds Arabic names from Latin letters. Your team approves every translation before it goes live.
Can one team run several malls?
Yes. One Studio holds every venue you manage, behind one sign-in. Roles are set per venue, so a centre manager can edit one mall and only view the others, and the Fleet page lists every kiosk across your malls with the offline ones first.
What kiosk hardware do we need?
Kiosks run the Wayfinder in a modern browser engine (Chromium or WebView 111 or later, with WebGL 2). Supported devices include Android signage boards, among them Android 9 boards with 2 GB of memory, Windows kiosk PCs and ChromeOS. We test your exact hardware on site before go-live.
Can we see what shoppers search for?
Yes. Statistics show top destinations, busiest hours by kiosk and zone, and searches that found nothing, which tells you what shoppers look for and cannot find. Kiosks collect no personal data, and any group smaller than five visitors is hidden.
Start with one mall.
Send us one mall’s floor plans and your store list. On a 30-minute call we move a store in Studio on a demo venue, in English and Arabic, and watch the kiosk pick it up. Then we go through what a pilot in your mall would need. We are looking for our first pilot malls.
