Wayfinding and live notices on the digital signage you already run
DigiMaps puts your directory, live notices and emergency messages on third-party signage players. Each venue gets two web pages for players, a signage display and a self-scrolling directory board, plus RSS, JSON Feed and iCalendar feeds. We test each player model on site before go-live.

The directory board page on a landscape screen. It scrolls by itself and lists public places only. Wayvale Mall is a fictional venue.
Two pages built for players, not for people at a desk
Both are plain web pages served by DigiMaps, one per venue. Give the player the URL, set it to full screen, and it shows what Studio publishes.

Pull DigiMaps into the signage system you already run
If your player builds its own layouts, it doesn’t need our pages at all. It can read the venue’s playlist and events as standard feeds and place them in your templates. We give you the feed URLs for each venue at setup.
signage.rss
RSS 2.0 with Media RSS
- Carries
- The venue’s signage playlist
- Use it for
- Players with an RSS or media-feed widget
signage.json

- Custom templates and your own developers
events.ics

DigiMaps screens get notices, closures and emergencies over a live channel within seconds. Your developers can subscribe to the same channel: live channel, webhooks and the REST API
Check a player against two questions
The player’s spec sheet usually answers both. If it doesn’t, send us the make and model.

Can the player open a web page full screen? It needs a browser engine at the level of Chromium 111 or newer.

Two URLs per venue. On a touchscreen, a tap on the signage page opens the interactive map.

Can it read RSS, JSON Feed or iCalendar? A player that can’t open a page may still show a feed in one of its own templates.

Talk to us before you buy. Send us the player make and model and we will tell you plainly whether it can show DigiMaps.
Either way, test on site. No third-party player model has been verified by DigiMaps yet, so we test each model you use before go-live.
When nobody is using a kiosk, it plays your signage
A DigiMaps kiosk is also a signage screen. Between visitors it shows the playlist you schedule in Studio, with the call to touch the screen in every venue language. Notices and emergencies always sit on top.

One screen, three states, all set from Studio
A notice posted in Studio appears on the player without anyone touching it. In an emergency the takeover replaces the playlist, and signage screens stay on the message instead of opening the map.
-
01 Normal
The scheduled playlist runs. A touch opens the map if you allow it.
-
02 Notice
A strip across the top, scheduled or posted now, for every screen or one zone.
-
03 Emergency
Full screen, in every venue language. Only an operator can end it.
Emergency mode supplements, never replaces, your approved signage, alarms and procedures. How live closures and emergency mode work
From a company that already runs screens
DigiMaps is made by DigiSigns, a digital signage company in New Delhi. DigiSigns makes cloud signage software and supplies displays, video walls and totems. If you need screens or a signage system as well as wayfinding, we can talk about both.
Questions from signage and AV teams
Short answers. Send us your player list if yours isn’t covered: support@digisigns.in
Which digital signage players can show DigiMaps?
Any player that can open a web page full screen in a modern browser engine (Chromium 111 or newer), or read RSS, JSON Feed or iCalendar. We have setup notes for Xibo, BrightSign, Yodeck and ScreenCloud, and for any URL or HTML5 player. No third-party player model has been verified by DigiMaps yet, so we test each model on site before go-live.
Do we have to replace our signage CMS?
No. Keep your CMS and add the DigiMaps signage page, the directory board or a feed to its playlists. Places, notices and events are edited once in Studio. Players showing the pages get live changes; players reading a feed pick them up when they next refresh it.
Can a directory board show Arabic and English together?
Yes. The board shows up to three languages side by side, grouped by level or by category, with Arabic laid out right to left. Translations go on screen after your team approves them.
What happens on signage screens in an emergency?
When an operator starts emergency mode in Studio, the takeover replaces the playlist or the board on every chosen screen, in every venue language. Signage displays do not switch to the map during an emergency. It supplements, never replaces, your approved signage, alarms and procedures.
Can our wayfinding kiosks show announcements when nobody is using them?
Yes. An idle kiosk plays the signage playlist you schedule in Studio: pictures, video, text, web pages and HTML5 packages, by daypart and by zone or kiosk. Proof of play records plays, touches, touch rate and time on screen. Live notices and emergencies show above the idle screen.
Does the signage page need a powerful player?
The signage page and the directory board load no 3D engine, so they are lighter than the full map. They still need a modern browser engine, Chromium 111 class. If touch is on, a tap opens the interactive 3D map, which needs WebGL 2 like a kiosk does.
Bring us your player list
Tell us which signage players and screens you run. In a 30-minute call we show the signage page, the directory board and the feeds, and say plainly which of your players we would test on site.
